Perhaps your hens are eating something that changes the flavor? too much soy or garlic? Fish, flax and Black Oil Sunflower seeds can change the flavor too if they eat too much of it

It's not the flavor. My eggs are delicious. It's the thought. I can't explain it. I'm too close to the egg now. It's like eating raw chicken. :oops:

Oddly, you are much more likely to get salmonella from store eggs than home eggs. There is a fairly large percentage of it in them. Almost none from home birds and eggs.

It is something less then 100 cases out of several million infections in the US each year from backyard flocks

It's not the salmonella either. It's the thought. Haven't had a runny yolk in 4 years. And if I have to buy store eggs, I get them from the Happy Egg co.

Today I was going to leave the yolk semi runny, like @casportpony did, but at the last minute I broke the yolk and cooked it, so my egg was a little too cooked. :lau

If I think about it too much, I wont be able to eat eggs at all.

She was talking about the tomatillos and the romas, blending them with smoked paprika. Thanks, Karen
 
Since this thread involves coffee, might be a good place to share this pic I took today.
We went to our favorite coffee shop this morning, Signet Coffee Roasters in Pitttsburg KS. They have planted coffee beans in big pots and this 'tree' is taller than me....

I have a bunch of coffee bean/seeds and I'm going to try to grow a plant or two. It didn't sprout last time I tried though.
