It rained a half-inch, yipee! It's so nice to wake up to the fresh smell of rain. There was quite a bit of thunder and lightening with the storms but no fires that I have heard of.
Cooler weather= good day to clean the coop

It's almost like you've over slept right? Usually makes for a lazy day and we need those once in a while.And I'm so glad you did...something about sleeping late makes me need more coffee to wake up.

Hey, when I was raising my son, I didn't do the amount of cooking from scratch that I do now. There is something about working an 8 hour day, coming home to homework, keeping a house clean and just living life that gets in the way of long cooking days. The first step for me was to learn how to spend one day a month in investment cooking. Good news is, when you're retired and need your nutrition to be optimal, you'll have the time for all the fussy stuff.
I love the smell of the forest after a rainfall. We had a little rain yesterday morning and it just smelled so good when we went for our walk. Well, I guess that is one of the benefits to living in a rain forest.Good morning!
