Good morning!

It rained a half-inch, yipee! It's so nice to wake up to the fresh smell of rain. There was quite a bit of thunder and lightening with the storms but no fires that I have heard of.

Cooler weather= good day to clean the coop

Hi Riv, glad you got some rain!

We had a couple of quick showers pass through yesterday afternoon, another one early this morning and we're having another shower now...LOVE it!

I would love to work toward not having to buy packaged or processed foods. Unfortunately, with as busy as we are, the convenience of getting packaged foods is what sets me back. I have been trying to make as many of my own seasonings now, which is kind of fun!

Hey, when I was raising my son, I didn't do the amount of cooking from scratch that I do now. There is something about working an 8 hour day, coming home to homework, keeping a house clean and just living life that gets in the way of long cooking days. The first step for me was to learn how to spend one day a month in investment cooking. Good news is, when you're retired and need your nutrition to be optimal, you'll have the time for all the fussy stuff.

I love the smell of the forest after a rainfall. We had a little rain yesterday morning and it just smelled so good when we went for our walk. Well, I guess that is one of the benefits to living in a rain forest. It rains here.

Stopped at TSC for chick grit. None. They have chicks but no grit. Heading out to Ethel. Out of the way for a small bag of grit all so my chicks can carry on with their partying.

I agree with you on that. And I'm not sure what organic means in the main grocery stores. Are the fields isolated from other farms? It's all questionable. Something is causing all this cancer.

I believe there are lots of chemicals being used not just one in particular.

We as a nation need to look at getting back to the way our forefathers use to farm.
The foods that are premade hold a lot of chemicals that are not the healthiest.

Okay made it back alive been busy but coops got cleaned washed out a blouse came out of wash with a spot so washed it buy hand .. now I will see if the spot is gone .. more to that story maybe ..
