Good morning everybody! I came in and promptly went back to sleep! Wow, this is late for me to be waking up, but it sure felt good. Of course I did get up and let the chickens out at 6:20., gave out treats and fed the barn cats, squirrels and birds. :lol: DH is making poached eggs, so that will get me going.

Warmed up one of those cappuccinos from earlier. Yum!
 
Well, we had to treat all the chickens for mites again last night. This is the first year in 5 years to be dealing with this. I think it's the new coop and not using FGDE. I used to take all the straw and/or shavings out of the smaller coops every day and put fresh FGDE and bedding in. Now I scoop these great sand filled poop boards and scoop up the occasional poop on the floor. I only change out the shavings a couple time a month. Well, big mistake. :rant

So, with everything sprayed down, including all 20 chickens, I'm going back to my FGDE. Someone on BYC finally had me convinced it wasn't helping and I was just lucky. Well, now I'm convinced it does work. :lol:

I don't want bugs on my birds!!! :rant Anyway, it was a big job in this heat, but it's done. Yay! :ya Now to bring them something cool...maybe watermelon.
