Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Good morning, Ladies Eight!

I'm fine. Just had a very sad week. My cat passed away a few days ago. He was my constant companion around here. I do have a very sweet kitty laying next to me right now, but Hviti was a special friend.

How are you doing?

I'm so sorry for your loss Val. :hugs

Good morning @CluckNDoodle! :frow Thanks for the hugs!

How are you doing todfay?

I'm doing well, I didn't sleep much though so I'm on my second cup of coffee. I've switched to chai tea for the most part and I only drink coffee on rough mornings, so you can imagine, lol. I only have a second cup of coffee a handful of times a year. 😅

I usually drink about a cup a day. It has to be dark roast for me, and right now I'm exploring different roasters. I used to be a Starbucks only girl, and then one day it didn't taste good to me anymore. So, I've been seeking out my new brew. Maybe I'm turning into a tea girl? :D

I love authentic chai tea with milk and sweetened with honey myself! It has ginger in it so it's also soothing to the tummy.
As far as the coffee I'm drinking, it's from a local coffee roaster called Jumpin Goat, lol. It's soooo smooth!

We just tried a new coffee from a local roaster, but I'm not impressed. Perhaps I need to try a different roast. This one tastes like Colombian beans, and I'm not fond of those.

The chai tea sounds good with the ginger. It is my daily quest to settle the tummy. I do have ginger tea, and All Natural Dramamine, which I think has ginger in it. Oh, and I take Zofran twice a day which is an anti-nausea prescription.

Can you drink the chai tea without the sweetener? I should get some and try it.

Yes, you can drink it without sweetener, it's a personal choice. I just happen to love it with honey. I do recommend the milk/cream if you like a smoother taste but you should try it each way and see what you prefer! My husband also likes his really strong so he uses like 3 scoops of his tea every morning, lol.

This is the brand I get. I haven't found another that is authentic like this one. Most have sweetener mixed in or don't taste the same.

Peppermint is another one I keep on hand to settle my stomach if you haven't tried that yet!
