Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

It's taped to a board right now, it's regular hot pressed artists paper so I'm sure it will be framed. It's for the heart surgeon that saved my husband's life, the surgeon is Buddhist. There's a long story behind it.
It's a beautiful picture. Hope you share a photo when it's finished. I'm sure that's an interesting story. Maybe someday you'll share.

Thank you, I'll tell him you said so. ♥ When it's done I'll definitely share a finished picture. It's a bit of the long story that brought it to fruition. It was definitely one of those "restore your faith in humanity" moments though! The surgeon actually saved his life twice, once when repairing his heart and again when another doctor almost accidentally killed him. This heart surgeon, that had absolutely nothing to do with the procedure that nearly killed him, not even in his field of expertise, heard word that my hubby was experiencing complications and gathered multiple professionals to help him. He was in intensive care for over a week but I'm confident that he survived because of that man's quick response and he just happened to be checking in on him. Scary stuff and we had a lot of bad experiences at that hospital, but instead of focusing on the negative we decided to donate to the hospital in the name of each of the nurses and staff that went above and beyond instead.

Beautiful picture and a beautiful story! I bet that was a scary time in your lives. I'm so glad you get to talk about it today and that he gets to do his artwork in commemoration. Gave me goosebumps :hugs

It was and it's definitely not the typical light hearted "coffee shop" conversation (sorry if I disrupted the vibe for anyone!) but I'm just grateful I still have the ol' grump around to give me trouble when I'm trying to photograph his artwork. lol
