Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

I think I tend to feel pretty deeply, and then I get called "too sensitive" and get told that I should try to change to feel things more shallowly.
You can't change the depth of your feelings. I've often thought that I feel things too deeply and that may very well be why it took me so long to get my life somewhat headed in the right direction after Dad died. You just have to muddle through it.

James, Valerie has the right idea. You could provide computer support. That doesn't mean it's your lifetime job. Just a chance to show your skill off - of which you have many.
It's a good thing to go on a resume for a better job later. :)
My sensitivity has been seen as very childish by some, but I am doubtful that it will go away. I'm not totally sure if it's due to part of my personality being stunted, or if I'm just hardwired to be more sensitive.
I think we are who we are, and the reasons can be very complicated and sometimes not even known to ourselves. A good psychologist can help you look inside yourself and understand why you feel the way you do. I don't think you can just change your behavior because someone wants you to. I think you have to have an understanding and a healing. This is available, I assure you. When you understand yourself better, you will choose better friends. But, even then, you will still be sensitive. That's not a bad thing. It means you're compassionate and loving.
