Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Hello Debby. Yes it is cold after 70's and 80's. I had heard a cold front was coming through but good Lord.

It seems winter is having a hard time letting go this year. Hope you have some warmer weather coming soon!

Thanks Debby! I can't wait to move everyone into it. Well, except for Mad, who may be living on his own in his little coop for a while.

I do wish winter would let us go. Here we are stuck at home. It would be nice if we could plant some flowers and finish the coop.

Good morning Pert! Stay warm down there! Love your description of the morning, Debby.

Cap, here is where we are right now. We started it 3 weeks ago, but have not worked on it for a week due to rain. Actually, we have some of the roof plywood up now, but it's covered by a tarp, so I can't get a picture. (I say we, but really it's just DH. :D )

In the foreground is Mad Hatter's little coop and the little rascal himself. :D
I love this! Looking good!

Surly finally gets to incubate her eggs. She has wanted to for a year, but never had fertilized eggs until now. She's a happy girl!!!

Good Afternoon, everyone!

We AI'd a few heifers bright and early this morning. More to do this evening! Thought a would share a picture of this pretty gal :love

@ValerieJ - I missed the story on Queen Bee but I'm so happy she is able to return to the flock! The new coop is looking great!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday!

Oh! That is one cute baby you have there!!!! :love

Thanks for the kind words about Queen Bee and the coop. When I went out to put her out with the flock she was laying down, tail down and panting again. That has been completely gone for two days. She is a hard one to figure out.

What a handsome gal!

Do ever see yourself adding some Highlands to your herd (like Meg's)?
(Those are my favorites :) )

Thank you! No plans to add Highlanders. They are awful cute though :love

I would sure love to get a British White! Raise it from a calf to become my backyard pet :D Its been a childhood "dream" to have one as a pet that I can hand feed, pet, walk around, etc. :love When we were younger, My grandma had a tame cow like that AND it was kept in her backyard!
