Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Gorgeous flowers, Val! Once we get settled into our place I would love to plant a bunch of different flowers. It sounds like your rainforest makes for great growing :D

I don't think I've ever heard of a Rhodie?? They are sure pretty though!
Rhodedendrums are very popular here. You see them everywhere. Pretty in bloom, but also pretty bushes when not in bloom. I do agree with Penny that they would be a lot of trouble on a driveway or walkway, just like any other flowering tree or plant.

Gorgeous Iris Val. The only thing I have blooming is something that was called winter Iris, it has small blossoms and variegated foliage. Seems very hardy.
I have some of those, but they have already bloomed and died. I need to dead head them because the spiky foliage looks pretty in my hostas.

Good morning everyone! Hope y’all have a great Saturday!

I'm at work right now, but when I get home it's moving day for the older chicks in the brooder. The time to clean the brooder.:sick These 5 week olds sure can make a mess and stink in no time.
Oh I know! Since I'm retired, I clean brooders a few times a day. Coops too, but with the new one that is a 2 min job. The water dishes are the biggest chore for me. There are 8 of them and they are spread out all over the orchard. Putting clean water in those takes a good half hour a day. Cannot imagine how folks do this and work too! I've turned chickens into a full time job.

I would love to be able to stay home with my chickens but I love my work too. Luckily my son is still at home and he is a tremendous help with the feeding and watering
