Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

Funny you mention your flock and pumpkin. I gave mine 1/2 of a whole pumpkin last week. The girls here pretty much turned up their noses at it. So with the other 1/2, I baked it, scooped out all the guts and gave that to the flock warm...they loved that! Gourmet birds around here I guess.
Hmmmmmm, I still have half a pumpkin left.. Maybe I'll try that.. Picky kids.

By the by.. of the chicks that hatched last Thurs/Fri, two grew wing feathers overnight. Like golly, how did they do that? Where are they planning to go so early in life? I did notice also around day three they decided food was goooooood! Went in to check when I woke up and danged if they hadn't eaten half their food.. Now they have a fresh supply and fresh water. I stick a teaspoon of vinegar in a quart waterer along with water and they don't get pooey butts.:fl

When my brother and I were kids, mom would make us our favorite dinner, his was lobster and mine was spaghetti, He would always get german chocolate and I got angel food... Guess I was aiming high!

When I was growing up we had the same tradition...the b-day kid got to pick their favorite meal. Mine was spaghetti too, and chocolate cake. Ahh, good times :D

Hi everyone! :frow

I made some fresh coffee for anyone who wants to join me. I had oral surgery this morning, so I'm just getting started on my coffee. They put me out, so I'm a bit groggy...coffee is helping.

Penny, I didn't think about the smoke being what got your chicken. That makes sense to me. I wondered how it was effecting all our birds. Mine seem to be okay, but I do hear a cough/sneeze sort of thing every now and then. Never had that before. Happy to have clear air today!!!
