He will be coming off the blood thinners in regard to the "Watchman" that was implanted. The 'Watchman" has tissue starting to cover the face of the "Watchman" which will stop the clots from forming.
Oh I see. I guess I don't know what a Watchman is, but if it takes care of the blood clots, that is awesome.
 
That will be a worry off you huh then .. Our last name carries a tendancie to stroke.
My brother had 4 massive barely got out of it ... I had a minor 4 years ago ..Doc wants me on a statin to stop one in maybe 20 years No way I say.
Why don't you want to be on a statin?

The "Watchman" is piece that is inserted into an apex inside the atrium. The top of it has a filligre look that the tissue adheres to as it grows. Once it is covered with tissue the clots don't have a place to sit. The doctors describe it as looking like a jellyfish.

His neurologist says it is great.

Ask questions anytime, I will be glad to try to answer so it can be understood.
 
Do not like medical cocktails .. mixing too many and do not want to think in 20 I may be hell i'll be 80 :old
Just asking because I'm on one, and I've never bothered to look up why I shouldn't be. :lau I've been on it for years. But, yes, I have a huge family history of strokes, and haven't had one yet, so I think it's working. :fl
