Cup o' Joe and Tea Too

The "Watchman" is piece that is inserted into an apex inside the atrium. The top of it has a filligre look that the tissue adheres to as it grows. Once it is covered with tissue the clots don't have a place to sit. The doctors describe it as looking like a jellyfish.

His neurologist says it is great.

Ask questions anytime, I will be glad to try to answer so it can be understood.
I'm talking to DH about this. Why doesn't he have one? 🤔

I asked DH about the Watchman and he said he doesn't want one. He's been on blood thinners for about 15 years, and has not had the problems that some others do. Some men, (my DH :) ) aren't interested in the latest greatest thing. Something about if it ain't broke...

But, thanks for educating me on it! Sounds like a great idea to me.

My husband has had three strokes and that is why his physician wanted to do the Watchman.

Hopefully this will keep him from having a fourth stroke that will probably inactivate or cause his death.
