Hey was given a recipe I want to share, I am going to make a creamy onion soup to use on green beans tomorrow.
I was given that by Ron.
Homemade Condensed, Cream of "Anything" Soup.
Author: This Old Gal Recipe type: Condiment Cuisine: American Serves: 10 oz
Ingredients
1 cup Cold Milk
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch 1½ Tablespoons Butter
1 teaspoon Chicken Bouillon (or any flavor you like)
½ teaspoon Sea Salt Dash of pepper
Instructions
In a small saucepan, whisk milk and cornstarch until well blended.
Stir in butter, bouillon, salt, and pepper.
Heat to a boil, stirring frequently.
Simmer on low for one minute more to thicken.
Looks good. I make my own mushroom soup for the beans and put dried onions on top. I have tried several ways to make the fried onions but nothing beats the ones you buy at the store if you like that original green bean casserole taste and texture.
I have my sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and cranberries done. Just need to pop two of them in the oven tomorrow. For some reason I’m going all out this year and it’s only the two of us.
There is just us three but have fun doing it for the them.
Richard loves my fresh cranberry too. I cannot do mushrooms so making creamy onion
soup for the green beans. You gave me heads up to start stuff get in gear giggle yup.
Up early to brine the bird. The instructions said 6 hours, so I didn't want to do it overnight. I haven't brined it before, so here's hoping it turns out as good as they say it will.
