Well, I did it because I had a partial I wanted to get rid of. I've been missing my molars since I was about 6 years old, due to some bad dentistry. When the new teeth came in they couldn't be saved either. So after years of wearing partials, I was able to get rid of one with implants and I love them. They were expensive. That's the down side.

I have a lower denture that fits my implants.

Now I'm waiting for the upper denture to be made and it will be screwed in permanently.

Expensive!!!!

But so worth it, I think. I still have a lower partial and it is locked in with implants too. I cannot get regular implants there because I haven't had teeth there since I was 6 and there is not enough bone anymore. Not even enough to graft to.

But we do what we can, and you're right...it's all very expensive.
