Curb the agression?

I've tried hard to get there with him, lucky me found out about his real gender when he was about 3 weeks, I've been treating him special ever since. I'm glad I found out earlier, his comb and wattles were a bit if a give away. I hope he's not a jerk, I really like him
This basically set yourself up for being attacked.. you didn't teach him to trust you you taught him he doesn't need to respect you.

People think of fear as a bad thing.. in the chicken world HEALTHY fear equals respect a healthy respect of your space!

The relentless crowing sounds like it's directed AT you.. and this boys is throwing clues that if something doesn't change in his little brain REAL quick then the best way to simmer down his behavior would be in along hot aromatic bath atop the stove. :hmm

Hope it resolves quickly for you.. please know not all cockerels are Stew Piddaso's!

No stew pot for him lol. But if continues to be a jerk, he will be without hens, I'd get another boy, and put them in a batchlor pad. Again, when I fed him, he was perfectly happy with my presense. So, I think we will work something out, I Deffidently know his spurs will be trimmed, ill look into the humane way to do that.

Ok, so I've been going out there, with and without treats, and he seems fine. He managed to get on the roof of the coop, and crowed his success to the world, making me very nervous. Just wanted to share his chick to now pics lol, felt like looking back. He us the one drinking water, in the pic focused of my other leghorn, and sex link.

Same here, we had to rehome our other roo, 6 weeks, and already a jerk, I mean no attacks, just running away from me, and pecking when ever I got close. So, he is gone now, but when he left, I just kept looking at his baby pics lol. I knew he didn't like me, and his weight expectancy was 15-16 pounds, so I figured it was for the better.
