Curious Incubation Method

37.5*C is considered perfect, so you are pretty good at 38* Good luck with your hatch!

Did any of your remaining 7 eggs hatch? I haven't seen an update on your experimental incubator...

Sorry to say none have hatched. I dont think it was the incubators fault tho. I believe I had a few to many issues on my end. I candled them and no movement or anything. one of them was seeping so it was bad so I think this experiment failed. I will probably try it again with the toaster oven come spring.

Thanks. It is sad but will try again some other time with this method. I know it will work just have to make sure temp stay just right all the time and make sure my kids know NOT to touch it.

thats sad have you disposed of the eggs yet?? if not i would be sure they are deda before you do. I open on the 22 day I have noticed most to all of the chivks have deformities of they are in the eggs to long. if you decide to open them make it as close to the middle of the aircell as possible, and flash a light in to see id there is any movment. I also put a drip of water in the inside to see if there are any veins. If not and there is a live chick I help. I havent lost a chivk yet from the ones I have helped. Strangely enough they have all but one been a rooster.
