Hello!
I’ve been raising this baby chick for about 3 weeks now and from the beginning I’ve seen a weird behavior from my 5ish month blue laced red wyandotte Mamés Tiki. She always does this back and forward pacing whenever the chick is around. Of course I never let them too close to not risk the chick being pecked. My other chicken doesn’t seem interested at all. Tiki hasn’t laid any eggs yet, so I’m not sure if she’s being broody or not. I’ve attached a video to give you an idea of what I mean.

First of all, she is a beautiful hen! Second, she's curious and wants to check out this newbie. She may also be dominant and put the chick in its place once they meet. Broodiness is shown by a hen sitting on her nest exclusively. She won't want to get off nest and will complain loudly or even peck at you if you try to remove her or the eggs beneath her.

I don't think that's the case here.
OP, there's no way to tell without letting the hen out. Not suggesting it, but just letting you know. She looks more aggressive than curious.
It would probably be ok to try though.
I typically lock em up for a lil bit when I’m taking the chick outside to roam so she won’t try anything dangerous with the baby, but she even does this when I have the chick close by or in my hands. I’m not sure of her demeanor yet.
