Curled up chick toes

I've had a jubilee orp hatch today. It was an assisted hatch as it had been stuck to the membrane in the shell. The chick has curled feet like the one in the photo by ScottishKate. I made some little splints for its feet. How long do you leave them on?

I msg Kathy a pic and she told me to wait and she was right :) there is only 1 toe that's slightly turned in today and it's standing up and moving much better. :)
Good luck with your baby and I'd ask Kathy for any advice ;)

This is my American Breese chick, Paddyfoot. I had to help her out of the egg. At any rate, this is how I braced her toes. After 24 hour I could see a difference. I took a Bandaid, cut out the pad, positioned the toes on one sticky side and topped the top side of the
foot with the other piece. She gets around really well. Before, she was stuck on her back.

Hi all,

Yesterday I have noticed that one of my 1 week old chick curves his toes when walking. He and another chick had slightly curved middle toes soon after hatch, but it did not look serious and I thought it will be alright. Well chick2's toes are still looking the same, but for chick1 it is getting worse. It became remarkably worse even from yesterday evening to today morning.

Here are the feets of chick1. (in this picture his legs are aso splayed a little bit, but this is not a permanent position, I guess it is only because I tokk hime out the pen and put down here to make a picture). I already made cardboard shoes for him, I hope it helps.

Here is chick2. As said, his toes are not that worse than for the other one. I am not sure if I should make shoes for him as well.

I read that riboflavin shortage may cause this. The chicks get a vitamin complex since yesterday (I started to add them this anyway) and i am planning to get parsley as well. Is there anything else I can do or should do differently? this is the first time I have chicks so I am really unexperienced with them.

Thank you for your help in advance.
