Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

I liked Rogue One, but it was different to the other Star Wars movies in that it didn't have the 'cute'. It's more like a "side adventure" than the main story/characters. It's very well done, IMO.

Potato, I agree with you. I grew up watching the first trilogy and the past couple of decades have been somewhat of a big cluster....as to how and why and huh to how this has all turned out. I must tell you, I enjoyed this movie. It should have been produced 20 years ago. We had the tech to put out a finished version of this back in that far gone era of the 80's to give this movie a good shot, even back then. They did do "A New Hope" after all back in '77. Disney, I have nothing to say to you whatsoever. I am simply going to sit back and watch til you are finished. That said, I sit ready to eat crow. I will be watching this movie again. That said. George Lucas. South Park was right about you and your bathspa buddy Spielberg. Why did you make us endure all of that time for Jar Jar Binks? All of that really, why did you do that? You already re-did the original trilogy and made so much money from us for that? Then after that? You have a whole lot of 'splainin to do George. To think I have to look at Hayden whoever now if I decide to watch Return of the Jedi, granted, including you and your conniving chummy Steven's re-mix of everything unless you watch an ancient version of VHS. You guys, seriously, you two deserve another South Park episode if not a dozen. I would rather watch a modern version of that t.v. series Survivor in the St. Louis ghetto. May someone urinate in both your pools. Sincerely, Red5

Beautiful scenery of China, interesting animals, predator/prey interactions (Princess did not like), annoying narrator - today we saw "Born in China". First two points mad the movie worthwhile for me even with the annoying narrator. I'll give this "Earth Day" production 2.5 stars.

I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy last week. They also showed the first one, so I saw that, then the new one was the "movie of the week" with discounted tickets so I ended up seeing both movies in the same week (both for cheaper prices, although I took my "bunny girl" and I paid for her tickets so I didn't really save that money).
Really entertaining movie, I loved it. Witty repartee, great special effects, good storyline, terrific characters. I could go and see it again, which is my big benchmark for how much I've liked a movie.

(EDIT: I can't believe we got it before America!)

Thank you so much Potato chip- they are also going to have both movies back to back at some theatres here (USA) but none close to me. I don't think I could sit that long anyway to see both of them.

They claim there are 5 bonus scenes after the credits - is that true? Makes a movie even longer. PS you are a MUCH better movie reviewer than I am, and did not give away any spoilers.

You're right, I didn't give away any spoilers.... LOL

It's always a good idea to sit through the credits on a Marvel movie. WINK. Seriously, (believe it or not) the end credits are a work of art worthy of sitting through for their own sake. It's not just the usual scroll of information. I already plan on buying this movie when it comes out on DVD. I'm sure there's a lot I didn't notice in those credits.

If you like this type of movie, see it, that's all I can say. Thoroughly entertaining.

We thought about going but, no one seemed to have anything good to say about it. Even Tom Hanks can't save every movie, I have to say I have been disappointed several times in his choices of movie roles to pursue. I doubt that he needs the money.
