Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Today we saw "The Circle" - somewhat of a disappointment. Princess gives it a 3, and I give 2.5 stars.

This makes me sad. I adore Tom Hanks. I'll have to see it, but now I'll wait for the blu ray or something.

I've got tickets to see Alien Covenant on Wednesday in 2D IMAX. Can't wait!

 I can't even watch the commercials for this movie!

There is also a movie allegedly coming out soon "the Finest," with Bill Nighy and Sam Claflin*
I saw this today. It's called "Their Finest" and I loved it. Good story, great cast, really good movie.

Gemma Arterton plays the lead, she's a young woman who gets a job during WWII with the "Department of Information" which made "informational" (propaganda) movies to show at the pictures. She gets seconded onto a feature film with Sam Claflin's character. Bill Nighy plays an actor in the movie. It's got "everyone" in the cast, Rachael Stirling, Jeremy Irons, Richard E Grant, Helen McCrory, a lot of familiar faces to watchers of British movies and TV. Jack Huston is also in it, he was in Boardwalk Empire for anyone who watched that.

Anyone who is interested in trivia might be interested to know that Jack Huston is Angelica's nephew, but he grew up in England. Helen McCrory is married to Damian Lewis, he's very well known from TV in England and the US, and Rachael Stirling is Diana Rigg (the avengers)'s daughter. It's often the case when you "look people up" that you find interesting relationships.

Fabulous ensemble work, every appearance was just as it should be. Highly recommended.

Hope I get to see "Their Finest." It finally came to one show out here, they had it play for one showing on a couple of days and then it disappeared.. I love Sam Clayflin and Bill Nighy, knowing Diana Riggs daughter is in it, will make it even better.

Love to gloat and tell my brother that the best info I get comes from Bycers all around the world.

Incidentally, unless I am hallucinating again(still?) BYC shows Walmart is one of their sponsors. What up with that?

the digital version comes out sooner, sometimes before it even leaves theatres depending on the movie, etc.
Google play is a great source for new digital movies, i use it with chrome or if you have a smart tv you can download it direct :)
I also use VUDU i've converted some of my fave dvd movies to digital using them, i've packed away my bluray i love the digital so much lol :wee

Hi Sour. I miss you always, even when you are right here. Did you get to visit your favorite "grand Pugs?" I know how much they mean to you :plbb

Hey good buddy we both have birthdays coming up - just a day apart. We should do something to celebrate.
