Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

End of the week going to see Star Wars whatever. My son and brother love it. I hated every one I had to sit through but, I have to be a good sport, since they hated most of the movies I got them to see. Turn about is fair play but, it's hard to go without a restroom for the long movies, even worse when you hate them .

My best friends in high school were so determined that we see the original Star Wars together, they refused to see it without me (and my little brother, who was a much bigger fan than I was). When I was in college, I took him to see The Empire Strikes Back. We were both fans through the first 3 installments. Quite a few years later, I remarked to my brother that Critter and I had finally seen one (I think it was Attack of the Clones) and his response was, "speak not the name of the evil one." I said, "oh, good! I thought it was just me." I'm afraid my feeling about the entire first trilogy was pretty much "meh," so much so, I haven't really thought about trying to see anything in the last set. Sorry to hear they have all been so tedious for you.

I sort of know what the Hunger Games is about, so it's not too much of a surprise that people die in it. Still, I really haven't watched them yet.

I saw the Star Wars The Last Jedi this morning. Loved it. I hope you can find some interest in the beautiful sets and designs in it, Drumstick, even if you don't go for the story and the action.

The first episodes were awful, the 2 new movies are really good. Don't let eps 1-3 put you off seeing them, Bunnylady. They are as good as eps 4-6, with even better special effects and visuals. Great cast, great performances, suspenseful story.

I think the second Hunger Games movie was the best - really liked that one. But do not consider Jennifer Lawrence to be any threat to REAL actresses. She kept the same expression through all of them. Just like Frodo in Lord of the Rings. I thought a laxative would have helped him.

I got a (cheap) ticket to see the new Jumanji movie on christmas eve. I don't know anything about it, but I like Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black, and that red-headed girl was good in Guardians of the Galaxy so hopefully it'll be ok to sit through. I've been going to quite a few movies lately, so I've got a lot of points saved up to get my free tickets with. Hopefully something good will be coming up. Does anyone know anything about that downsizing movie with matt damon? I might see Thor Ragnarok next week, they've got cheap tickets on tuesday.

I want to, but I have to see the rating first. Like not physically thirteen, or rated r
