Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

lots of stinky movies out there, better to rent than be out several dollars. Can't believe how many bad movies come from famous studios. Someone must have thought they were good but :sick
On another note i also rented Murder on the Orient Express. Now mind you i am familar with Agatha Christie's work and quite frankly i dont care for it. She writes like Stephen King which if you care for his writing you might enjoy her. I personally do not having grown up reading the greats like Charles Dickens and Fenmore Cooper. But I did enjoy this film. Well...up until the last ten minutes. I wont give spoilers as to why i didnt enjoy those last ten minutes but i will say that if the main character was in the true pursuit of justice and worked as a detective for many years that he would have done more than move along.

Finally got to see season 3 Dare Devil on Netflix, finished 5 episodes thankfully. I say that because with the chrome browser I could no longer stream anything from Netflix. My brother said to go back to IE and it worked great.

After I finish DD(not me HIM) I'm going to stream the movie "Hostiles," with Christian Bale and Wes Studi. I saw it at the show when it first came out and it had a profound effect on me. I'll get to see it again but, up close on monitor and probably hear it a lot better also.

Today we saw "Beautiful Boy". The true story of a boy's addiction and the pain caused to all who loved him. HATEFUL subject, but a movie well done. We both give it 4's. Who ever would have thought that Steve Carell would become a good 'serious' actor. Great performances by him and the boy who played his son. Not an uplifting movie.

Agree I've seen Steve do some fantastic work in serious roles. He was one of the "dupont," million or billionaires who took on, okay can't remember if boxers or wrestlers.
-can't remember who (from Magic Mike - just got up after long, long nap. Also with Mark Ruffalo.

Was very good in "Crazy Stupid Love" with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Geez when my brain thaws out I will fill in the missing names.

Apart from brain still in sleeping mode, my brother sent me a blurb on "Idris Elba being chosen as "Sexiest Man Alive." on the cover of People Magazine. With several photos to prove he was well chosen. Like I wasn't crazy about him from the first time I watched him on his series "Luther." Need to fan myself - :woot

Thank you muchly Sour. My brother didn't want to see it anyway but, I do like Sissy Spacek (think it's spelled wrong) she is very good. I won't waste my last few movie bucks on it.

I think you are exaggerating re: Princess snoring. I have been accused of this once, many years ago when I fell asleep face down on a crappy sofa. Someone told me I was snoring but, actually it was cute snores (so I let him live).:lau
