Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Finally, I should get to see a decent(I hope) movie Sunday or Monday. It's the" Host" with the girl from "The Lovely Bones" and the trailer looked good. I am movie starved, haven't been to one for about 3 weeks or more.

I'm seeing it on Friday. I love the book, so I'm hoping it is good.

Sounds good. I can't go on Friday because the senior bus isn't operating on Good Friday. I love to go opening day otherwise.

I normally hate going opening day or weekend, but It is my birthday present to me. I took off work and am spending the day shopping and seeing the movie.

Shopping (even just looking), Movie and lunch - that is my kind of day. I don't care if lunch is just Burger King or McDonalds - I feel pampered.

Same here. I have to get a dress for my college graduation, so this will be the perfect day to do it. I normally hate shopping or spending money, but the only dress I own is black so...

Kaitie did you get to see the movie yet?? I'm wondering what you think about it.

Just saw a trailer(on Rotten Tomatoes) for the new Wolverine movie - it looked really good.

I did. If you have read the book you probably won't like it. They cut out some major parts of the plot. I also felt that they should have broken it up into 2 movies, and spent more time on the relationship between Melanie and Wanderer. It just felt rushed in the beginning. I went with 2 people that had not read the book and they really liked it, so unless you have read the book, I'd say go see it.

I just read that Roger Ebert "The film critic, passed away from a recurrence of cancer. What an empty spot he leaves. I always checked his movie reviews before considering what ones I wanted to see. Even when he hated a movie, his criticisms were so downright funny that sometimes I went anyway just to laugh at those parts. In his battle with cancer he was just bigger than life. I really expected him to triumph. I'm sure he has the seat of honor in a far better movie theatre today. Thumbs up.
