Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

  1. Boy,they sure are taking creative license with this film series. Since they broke book 3 into 2 parts I am not sure what to expect in the first one. They left so much out in the other two.

    I blame it all on Peter Jackson with the Lord of the Rings and now Hobbit - just stretch them out as long as people still buy the tickets. Now they are all pulling that. Harry Potter ended but, now I hear she is doing prequels and stuff about wizardry. Hobbit was a tiny book - whatever it didn't contain they just made up. BORING!!! I guess it's very hard to give up on something that makes you millions.

    Hobbit movies focused too much on action. Lotr had the same problem, story was missing and too much action, but it was better. Hunger games, books were ok, movies not so much. Somehow the books painted the world more vividly and believeably.

    BTW My sister saw the Stephen Hawking movie - my mind just blotted out the title. She said it was definitely Oscar material. She expected it to be a real downer but, said it was not.

    The group she was with, enjoyed it also.
