Oh, I'm so sorry to hear the poor reviews for Gatsby. It was the next one I intended to see. I may still see it though. Perhaps just for the music and all the excess.

Hey, as far as Gatsby - it may just be a guy thing. My wife and her friend really liked the movie. I, on the other hand, just wanted it to end.

My sister and her daughter (adult) saw Star Trek and liked it very much. However, she didn't care for the new Spock (I thought he was great. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. They went to a 9:30 am showing and said the theatre was packed.

I did see Gatsby today and actually loved most of it. The female characters were weak... but that's not the movie... that's Fitzgerald... and the era, I suppose. Loved the stylized conception and the music.

Yay chicks, thank you for your comments - your insights are very welcome. I haven't seen the movie but, you are right the era was different and women were not like today.

Well, today we went to see "The Iceman" - the story of Richard Kuklinski - serial/contract killer. Surprisingly it was a very interesting, well acted movie.

They don't have" Iceman" anywhere near me - is it in wide release now, or just selected showings?

Just selected showings - there is a theater over near Princeton that has some of the 'not so promoted' shows.

Rainy days

= movie days; therefore, we went to see "Now You See Me ---". Pretty good movie with a really good ending. I didn't see it coming.

Thanks Sour, I really wanted to see "Now You See Me," last week but, the reviewers tore it apart. I'd rather go by your opinion. I don't have to be in love with a movie, just want to be entertained for a while.
