Saw it, and was pretty disappointing TBH. They skipped over some key things raised in Prometheus, purely to bring it in line with the "Alien prequel" direction.I've got tickets to see Alien Covenant on Wednesday in 2D IMAX. Can't wait!

I actually enjoyed GOTG2. Although, I still feel everything is pushing to the next Avangers and the proper introduction of ThanosSorry. That's how I felt after seeing "Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2,"
I loved the first one so much - it just made me feel good every time I thought about it. Too much HIGH anticipation. The new one was darker and I thought trying too hard to inject humor where there was none. Bummer![]()

The film itself was OK, my wife enjoyed it, but she found Prometheus hard going. I'm a massive fan of the originals (have the collectors set Blu-Ray), and it was the skimming over certain aspects which really let it down for me.Shame, Matt, that Alien Covenant was disappointing. I know a lot of people that haven't seen it yet and are really looking forward to it.

Looking forward to hearing what you think about it. Are you planning to see the new Wonder Woman movie? I believe it will open end of June.Saw it, and was pretty disappointing TBH. They skipped over some key things raised in Prometheus, purely to bring it in line with the "Alien prequel" direction.
I'm torn...lol I was wanting to see Prometheus before seeing Alien Covenant but maybe I don't need to. I think I'm like your wife...Prometheus didn't do it for me like the alien series. I can barely remember what went on so it mustn't have impressed me much I guess. The film itself was OK, my wife enjoyed it, but she found Prometheus hard going. Not sure if I'll see it in the theater or wait for it to come out. For me, nothing has ever come close to touching the second Aliens movie. (Omg...so good)Sorry. That's how I felt after seeing "Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2,"

PS just ordered the DVD for the first one. The only player I have is on my computer,
I watch on a small monitor. I don't care - I get to see it better and hear what they are saying. In a movie theatre I think I miss a lot because of poorer vision & hearing.
Our theater upgraded to all new dvd and surround system equipment, but it still isn't as good as the city theaters. I want to FEEL the movie...lol.
