Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Sorry Sour, It's called "Stronger." We're going to see it this weekend. Only 2 shows have it playing. This is the true story but, I think it's too fresh in people's minds to want to see it. I'm going because Jake is a great actor, and he finally seems to be making some good movies again. I wasn't fond of his psycho ones.

Check it out on "Rotten Tomatoes."

Ya Sour, we saw "Stronger," great acting by the leads. My brother gave it 3.5 stars out of 4. I thought it was very good but didn't give it any stars because once I left the theatre, I didn't give it a second thought. I love movies that stick with me. I just wasn't "feeling" it . Maybe the movie was just too soon . You know news stations keep up with tragedies as long as they can get viewers.

Hope you and Princess see it, so I can get feedback from semi-normal people, you know which one you are Sour.

but I found it a bit slow 2.5 stars.
I think that it was a bit slow in the middle, but I liked it. Also, I saw it in the cinema where you eat dinner, so any drawn out bits gave me a chance to concentrate on my tucker.

I thought the leads were fabulous. I don't really know of Bobby Riggs in real life, he was "before my time", american, tennis player when I'm not a fan, etc, but Steve Carell played a wonderful character in the movie. He could have just made him a two-dimensional cartoon character, but there was so much more to his story.

As for Emma Stone, I think of her a slight little thing, but she successfully pulled off being Billy Jean King, somebody I think of as much more athletic and muscular, and "tougher". Emma wouldn't have sprung to mind if I'd been casting this movie, but she was very good in it.

Next movie up is "The Other side of the mountain," or words to that effect.Brain has gone numb/dumb. I know mountain is in the title somewhere. I think it's just 2 hrs. or so.

Wanted to see Bladerunner 2049 BUT is is 2 hrs. 45 minutes plus trailers - too much for one sitting that comes before, during and after what would be normal lunch time. Plus
tickets are too expensive for now.

hahaha I made the same connection when I was looking up the reviews. The new movie is called 'The Mountain Between Us". That other side one is an older movie.

The early reviews for the bladerunner movie are extremely good, apparently.
