Curse You TSC

Yep,less than a week but probably more than 4 days old. I've been taking daily pictures of mine to keep track of their feathers. As far as my chicks go anyways, the lighter ones are feathering quicker than my darker ones. Maybe a coincidence.

I WILL NOT GO TO TSC UNTIL CHICKS DAYS R OVER...............but is anything on sale maybe just a quick stop.. o look a baby chickie.......

I just wanted to thank everyone for their help. Even having the chicks for only two days has been an educational and FUN experience! It is amazing how quickly they grow.
They are in a XL plastic bin for now, but I am currently building a better brooder out of scrap wood around the house. It will be functional, but not very pretty.
The only thing I am not sure of is lighting. There is a standard 150w bulb for heat now, but they are in full light 24/7. The reading I have been doing, if I understand correctly, a red bulb will give heat but better for allowing them to get plenty of sleep.
Is this correct?
Does it have to be an IR heat bulb or will a standard red bulb work?
No matter how much you “know” about chicks/chickens, there are all ways more questions. That is why I LOVE this site!

Keep in mind that temperature can speed up/slow down feathering too. Often by a few days either way.
