Marrow stared back at him, still shocked from her dream as the Ovaco shattered part of the centapede's exoskeleton. The centipede hissed and ran away from him, turning back to Marrow and scuttling over to her
Ocavo roared and threw himself squarely on top of the creature, delivering a crushing bite to the back of the neck and working his jaws towards the brain stem.

The centipede gave an ugly squealing hiss and reared back, throwing Ovaco to the sand and scurrying off toward a gaping hole. when the centipede went through, the sand closed around the hole, burying the creature.

The large Enfernae blasted a wave of searing fire at it but it was too late. The centipede was gone.

He ran back to Marrow and looked her over. "Marrow, are you all right? What in the world were you doing out here at this hour?? Where's Afina?"

Marrow blinked, suddenly realizing she had no idea why she was out late at night.
"I- went to bed-" She said slowly

"And then..." Marrow stopped short, staring in horror at Ovaco. "I don't know! "
"Hmm..... that's odd." Ocavo made a mental note to check up on Marrow and Afina a little more regularly from now on. "Oh well. Let's get you home." He said, helping her stand up.

They Reached Marrow's small beach house, and Marrow smiled at him.
"Thanks for rescuing me, Ocavo. Come over tomorrow, if you'd like- I have a surprise- no, two surprises for you!"
"No problem. It was the least I could do after our last encounter-- you know.
Really?! Wow, I--... thank you, I will!
Good night Marrow. May you sleep well." Ocavo turned to go.
