Lepidoptera had been soundly asleep, but that pesky sun was beating down on his back. Sighing with annoyance, he straightened and hooked his claws into the rock, climbing up the side of the spire. He clambered around to the other side, away from the sun, in search of another ledge to perch on. He was about to give up when he noticed a distinctive split in the rock, just wide enough for him to squeeze through. Absolutely not. You are not going into some random cave and getting yourself killed. Leave it for someone brave. He thought to himself, but his curiosity got the best of him, and he folded his wings back and slid through the crack. It was a tight fit, but he flopped onto the ground on the other side of the crevice.
