"Daddy.... May I go out, daddy? I promise, I'll stay underground and won't go near any pools..." she said queitly.

Her jaw dropped for one second before she closed it quickly. Public humiliation... "No, daddy, I'm actually feeling tired... I think I need a morning nap...." She curled up on the little rock that she called her bed.

"All right. I'll just go outside of your room then." He gave a loving smile and then walked out of her burrow. He sat down on the ground and started to preen his scales.

She smiled back at him innocently. She thumed her bat wings on the floor once she was gone, debating what to do. She could sense the traptdoor under her bed calling to her. She wanted to take the passage to central caverns square. Really badly. but she felt bad about hiding so much from her dad...
She picked up a stuffed critter that was fuzzy and dark, like her. She quietly aranged the thing so it looked exactly like her curled figure. (Seen this too many times in movies)
Then she ducked under the curve in the rock and opened the tunnel, hoping that Moss or Shilah would be there. She hadn't been able to sneak out for a while so she hoped they hadn't forgotten about her.
