@Meg-in-MT @CindyinSD !! I found some of your Highland cows!! Was it you that had them too, Meg? Or just Cindy? Neither of you??

Anyway, MAN they are cute and I wish I could have a cow or two 😭😭 but I don’t know what I would even do with a cow 😂🤣

But man, they’re gorgeous!!!

I have both. I run such a small amount that I’m not worried about horns. (Bull and two breeders. We eat offspring. Slaughter at 2 years. So we have 5-7 head depending on if it’s April or June.

I have milked one cow. She tolerated it. Heavy cream and about a quart of the gallon I milked was cream when separated. Made about 1.25 cups of butter. So fairly high milk fat.

I found out a customer of mine has highland cattle and has a black bull. We've been trying to find a straw from a black to AI Chewy with, but have only been able to find red. So, I may able able to have Chewy bred to his next year!
That would be awesome!!! I hope it happens for you! I didn’t even realize they came in so many different colors!! What would that grey ish brown one in the last picture be considered? Just out of curiosity.
