me and hubby got a dozen chicks 2 black sex-links one is Indy short for Indiana jones she seems most adventurous then red she has a lot of red feathers. and we have 2 speckled sextons I went with harry potter theme because they are British lol so they are Hermione and Ginny they are 6 weeks old Wednesday. Its still cold outside around 40's daytime and low 30's at night but it stays 65 in the coop with the light on is it ok to leave them out there yet? then we have 4 golden sex-links 2 weeks old need names for was thinking golden girls but don't know if hubby will go for that. and we have 4 week old Americana's we have 2 named Tilde she is really tiny yellow girl about half the size of the others almost named her Tidbit, and Tobi hubby named he don't know why but he kept calling this one Tobi so her name is Tobi lol. So have 6 more to name still.

My kids named these:
Eddy Lacy (a GLW x WL roo named after an NFL player)
Speckles (a SLW cockerel named after a dog on Clifford the Big Red Dog)
Chocolate, Caramel, Goldie, and Sandy (four gold Comet hens of varying darkness of brown)
Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, and Peter (four white Leghorn hens named after Peter Rabbit and his sisters) (IDK why they named a hen Peter)
Spunky Munky (a chick that hatched out with chipmunk stripes; she's been re-named Georgette)

DH named my Bantam Cochin Frizzle "Snoodle" after a flightless, winged VeggieTales character from "A Snoodle's Tale".

I named four Cochin chicks:
"Robert" Downey, Jr. (b/c I thought this one was a male and it was downy; I think it's a pullet, but I'm keeping the name)
"Prima" Donna (b/c she was the smallest and made more noise than the other three put together)
Lavender (b/c I hoped that my chicks were at least not white, but they are, but I'm keeping the names)
Violet (b/c DH liked that name better than "Lavender")

Little Red (a red chick that hatched out of one of my Comet eggs, but we didn't know at first whether it was a pullet or a cockerel, looks like a pullet; DS calls her "my little hatchling", so that's her name, I guess)

My DD is trying to name one of my 6+ white Leghorn chicks from the roo who's half GLW) "splash". We'll see.
