Wermnmnmnmn thanks I like Mirabel too, think Flutter fits but still looking for funky hairdo chick. Also had these two hatch yesterday so have two more to name. Thinking something to do with chipmunks (not alvin as im hoping for hens as roosters will be rehomed or potted if a home cant be found so boys names arent ideal) for stripey one and creampuff for blondie.

I name my birds for the breed they are, first initial. it helps me to remember, some people name them for the country they came from, a french hen may be named "Gabrelle" , I just got 5 from a breeder. they are all first initials.

I drove 3 hrs round trip to get 2 more Icelandic chicks today. Izzy is in front, Isabelle the other black chick and Isis the striped chick.

I have had a few and my favorite names are Clementine "Clemmy", Clara, and Rosie. They just seem to fit those spicy gals

Mom is sitting on these 2 eggs. they are from a vet's fridge. they are on day 21 pecking and peeping. will probably hatch tomorrow. The white one will be Arida, and the green one will be Slaw.

I like to sew so I decided to name my 6 RIR pullets for fabric names:

Sateen
Georgette
Lacey
Paisley
Gingham
Polly Ester

Then I had to figure out how to tell them apart and pick the name best suited to each one.
