Aren't they CUTE! I had one Buff Orp who I named Minnie the Moocher. I was caring for my mom at the time (alzheimers) and had Lawrence Welk on the TV a LOT. Good ole Cab Calloway...
The day we brought our pullets home one layed an egg. We were very surprised and my 5 yr old decided her name was "stupid egg". I just had to laugh and let it slide. Our roosters name is "rowdy roo"
this egg is on day 8. on day 3, I moved it to incubator because it had a crack and I didn't want it to get worse. I am calling this egg "Nemo". the crack is in the air cell end and I'm making sure it has humidity.
This egg gave up on day ten or so. I am still waiting on 2 eggs from this batch due 23 or so, and 7 on the 29th
We are definitely in the "old-lady" name group, though quite a few of these names are making me second guess that move. We have Irene, Florence, Sylvia, Judy, Edith, Ruth, and Betty.
