We've got 10 hens to name. One is more adventurous than the others so I've just been looking at female adventurers names and one is very flighty so she'll probably be Amelia eggheart........I've got plenty of time.

My kids named ours except for one.
Scrambles - I named our black Auatralorp because she runs all over when we try to pick her up.
Chirpy- a black Australorp who chirped very loudly when we brought her home and continues today to be very vocal, lol. My 5 yr old named her.
My 5 and 3 year old named the rest because they are very into Aristocats right now
Toulouse - black australorp
Edgar (a girl we think)- EE
Marie- EE
Duchess - EE
That is so funny! I have a 3 year old hen named tweeter because she tweeted the whole car ride home! and she still does!

Your kids are going to really love the fact that they have been able to name your chicks. One of my friends was telling me about one of their hens that her husband had rescued and was named glovebox because that is where her husband had put her to keep her warm after finding her in the mud badly injured.......and another was telling me about one of her sisters hens who had been hand raised up on the verandah and when she had chickens, she taught her chickens to go up on that verandah..... cute hey.
