I have seen three generations of Boone's Little Buckaroo's son, grandson and great grandson.......they are beautiful in color but lacking in refinement. Mr Boone was a very nice gentleman and he bought one of my fillies and sold me a Hemlock Brook mare. From what I known from Mr Boone himself, the problems with dwarfism is common with his smaller mares, he had a few on the farm before his death. I am not crazy crazy on the Buckaroo lines but I did love that bay stallion he had, lines of Lord of the Isles is what I can remember now. Just solid bay and he was goreous! I'd wished I remember his name. UGH!
Rowdy is more refined. Van't Huttenest was popular for pintos and appaloosas along with pintaloosas LOL! I love the Dell Terra lines. I had a Hemlock Brooks mare, Hemlock Brooks Dark Angel and she was BLACK and her body and head was really classically Arabian, she was very refined out of the old lines which her grandparents were unknown. Wished to learn more about her pedigree but not much being said or found.
The one miniature horse I've admired was the Egyptian King or the NFC's but since they sold most of their stock, the quality got to be poorer today. I was disappointed. I had a black and white pinto stallion I bought from a lady down in Texas and the stallions lines were NFC's parents and Rowdy lines.
That new colt of yours, I cna not wait to see him grow up!
