i would go to harbor freight and pick up a 4 1/2 angle grinder for under $20 and a pack of cutoff disks. to me it is by far the easiest way to cut metal

I use a circular saw with a metal cutting blade. Not an abrasive blade, but a carbide toothed blade specifically designed for cutting thin metal.

An angle grinder fitted with a cutoff wheel will cut it likes its butter, but you have to watch every inch of the cut as it's easy for it to wander off as opposed to the circular saw. You need a number of blades too as they tend to wear fast and if they get pinched in the cut at all it tends to destroy the blade.
