Yes I read her articles all the time. I started practising natural medicine in the early 70's showing my age but hey it's better than going to the doctors. I put the oregano in their water also I alternate with fresh garlic. In this hot weather I've been putting baking soda, helps to keep them hydrated. We had 104Fah today it was like a sauna. I misted them with the hose but they run away they don't like the wet, but the cooled down some anyway. Your Austalopmis a darling, I love them. Mine is a cross Sussex, same with the leghorn her tail,is beautiful.

I love Lisa Steele! I read all her articles, and I really want to get her newest book, Gardening With Chickens. I have her other two books. I have been around natural medicine since I was born and my mom is into natural stuff. She had us all at home because she does not like how in control they are of everything and what she is forced to do with herself and her kids. I have never been to the doctor, except when I was 3, I stuck a pomegranate seed up my nose and my mom couldn't get it out......

Wow, it is hot over there! It is 30f over here. lol. I used Baking Soda when it got really hot this past summer, and I did not have a single one die of heat stroke! The hottest it got here was 95 though, so not quite as bad as over there.

Thank you! I love those chickens! I will have to post picture of the cross they created when they hatch! They are due to hatch on Thursday next week!

I am going on a vacation this weekend, and I don't know if I'll have wifi or not, but I'll be back Sunday!

I back!!! We had so much fun! We went horseback riding, fishing, trampoline park, and Chopped cooking challenge, it was awesome!

My chicks are about to hatch, we candled them tonight and they should hatch on Thursday....

What has everybody been up to?
