CX dying like flies

I’ll give it a little while. If it doesn’t go down, I may try intervention. I’ve seen it done to humans and I’d actually feel more comfortable doing that because I’m more familiar with the anatomy. I’m kind of worried I might puncture an intestine... :sick They do look swollen though. It looks so miserably uncomfortable. It’s been pouring for a while now, but it seems to be slowing down... going out to raise the feeders...

I agree that the feed's the issue. I have a half dozen CX right now; apart from a coon getting a few, I haven't lost any. They're 8 wks old and still roosting and foraging. I put out a set amount of food for the day and they have to scrounge up the rest.

I should raise some just so I can aspirate them..

I have never tried aspirating.. but if you have fluid filled guts you could try it or make Cornish game birds out of them.
I’m not sure they’re big enough to be game “hens” yet, but I may have to do that if they keep croaking on me. They could be faux quail, I suppose... jumbos. :p

How much do you give them, Banty? So much per bird?
