really, i mean its just something you dont do lol who eats sick birds??:idunno thats just weird.:confused: i mean i dont keep my chickens for meat i just keep them has pets and would never eat my chickens anyway. but if they are sick i nurse them back to health has best i can... not EAT them:th

I gave HIV as an example of what happens when someone eats diseased animals. It was not well received.
With HIV it happened when someone hunted a chimp that had SIV (chimp version of HIV). The hunter got chimp blood in a wound, most likely. It's also possible they ate meat that wasn't fully cooked and got the virus into their system through an open wound in their mouth. Who knows. Regardless, people fought me over it.

I am not sure if they could visibly tell the animal was diseased. But I imagine they only caught or found it because it either was slow or dead from disease.

You ever see a chimp run? A healthy chimp ia too fast for spear hunting.

Eating primates, and monkeys to me is too close to cannibalism. They do share many of our diseases, and shouldn't be eaten, but I guess when there's not much else to eat,,:idunno

That was one of my points. Zoonotic diseases.

I honestly can't believe the folks in that thread who were defending eating a sick bird.
