I’m wondering how good a egg layer this breed is? I’m very drawn to their looks and personalities

They are a poor layer. They lay a clutch of small eggs than go broody. They repeat this throughout the season.

I have four pullets and one cockerel. We are getting 2-4 eggs a day. So far out of 13 eggs in curator we have gotten 12 chicks. This is two batches. No Broodies yet but I’d be okay with one. I don’t rely on them for breakfast, though. I have full sized better layers for that.

I only have two and have never had any before these guys, I got them last August. It's Autumn here and the days are short so they're on a break from laying but from memory when they were at their peak I got about 8-10 eggs a week from both of them. Mine also aren't broody birds. One has gone broody twice and was very grumpy but only sat for a couple of days both times before quitting. The other hasn't gone broody at all.
