Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

So my buff is hatching today. So far we have six ducklings

It's 40C here so she is quite happily not sitting on them at all times we have water close for her and the ducklings once they find their legs

There's a couple of lavender grey and yellows in this batch plus one that looks like it will be mallard. She still has more eggs so might be more to come

I have one word for all those babies. PRECIOUS.

So she finished at nine and was off the best with them this morning talking to the drakes through the fence she ended up with two little dark ones. I think a mallard and a black white pie. I think she has a couple of white and I'm not really sure on the others. Any educated guesses would of course be appreciated

they will be cute because they are webbied feeted duck type birds and calls to add to the equation of adorableness.

I was staring at the bator tonight and I saw 2 of the eggs start to wobble around! Won't be but a couple days not until they begin to pip!!!

It's day 25, the eggs are still wobbling around but none have internally pipped yet, should I be worried? Help! This is my first time incubating call ducks and I'm a nervous momma duck!!!

They should be okay, mine took 28 days and didn't internally pip until day 26. What you can do is keep a close eye on them, gently candle by putting a strong light onto the shells without moving them and look for tiny bills in the air cells. It'll look like a tiny witch's hat!
