Well, she slept a little bit, and now that the other duckling is out maybe I can actually get some sleep tonight, for once! Also, I noticed something peculiar - Milkshake keeps moving her head from side to side, I noticed it when I picked her up a while ago, Whenever she wants to look right at an object she shakes her head to get a bead on it with both her eyes! I guess her nickname "Shakey" is pretty dang apropos! I got a video of her doing it, here the two cute little snugglebugs napping together:

Yak, my smart dumbphone won't open the vid. Will do so when I get home from work so that I can see what Milkshake is doing with her head.

I just don't understand...she was so vivacious and energetic. It happened so fast...the vet's going to perform a necropsy and see if there's any reason to fear the same thing will happen to Pancake. Then they're going to cremate her and give us her ashes, they also made an imprint of her tiny feet for us. It may seem silly to do all that for a two-day old duckling, but it's worth it to us...
