Woma's are endangered in Australia so your chances of getting them exported are pretty non existent. Usually we don't have a huge drama with outgoing animals though it's the in-going that is a major drama. For example I could import call duck eggs from the us or the uk BUT I'd have to get a breeder over there to agree to quarantine their flock for a season before I could accept any eggs from them then they have to be hatched and remain in Australian quarantine until they are sure the flock doesn't have anything. To make it economically feasible I'd have to import about a thousand eggs and then each duck, providing all survived would cost around $500.The trade embargo can bite us in the bum sometimes. Stateside we're having a semi-crisis with Woma pythons, the few that made it here before the ban aren't enough to carry a stable population, so breeders are at a loss. And it's a real shame, 'cuz Womas are hands down my favorite snake. They act more like puppies than reptiles! But I can see why Australia enacted the ban...the rabbit and sheep problem are kinda obvious symptoms. Although, my clinic recently treated a pet wallaby, so who knows how the heck that one got through.
