I just wanted to share a pic of Peep (also my avatar) she would like to now be called Super Peep! Holding to their breed, she spent 20 minutes up there calling to a pair of wild mallards who have a nest in the woods, and when they showed up, Peep and all my other ducks spent the day on the pond!

Peep is cute. What a neat story about her calling the mallards in and everyone spending the day in the pond.

Somewhat high pitched. One of my hens can be heard a mile up the road from my house when she's excited.

That is funny she can be heard that far away. I love it.

This morning Bean let out several shrill honks, right the heck outta nowhere! Hehe! I was readying her diaper in preparation of taking her out of her box and then, out of the blue, "MEHP MEHP MEHP!" Probably woke the neighbors with that one

So, as all of you know, I incubated and hatched Perdy's first three clutches of babies. Then, she built a nest of nine and hatched her fourth clutch. I would say 40 eggs her first breeding season is pretty wonderful. Her first egg laid on Valentine's Day and her last (before going broody) laid April 5th. And, I thought after going broody she was done for the season. Well, I went outside to feed her and the two daddies today to see her frolicking around in their coop. She's built another nest and has 2 eggs in it so far. I don't even have her on Layer Crumbles anymore, so needless to say I'm about to be taking a trip to the feed store. My girl isn't done!

still going at it everyday though!

The idea of Perdy frolicking around in the two daddies' coop is so funny.

OMG she climbs (waddles) all the way up there?? I'd be so scared of her sliding back down. Very cute though!

After she had her first clutch of 13 babies and they were confined to pen and barn, she started to fly up to the edge and waddle up halfway, and then supervise from above. All her babies would just huddle up and wait! She then started flying to the pond and leaving the babies under the watch of Big Momma! (Pekin)

That's nothing, female calls will also trill when they're happy. If you coo at her when she's sleepy she'll reply with some tribble noises of her own. <3 It's amazing how vocal abd varied female calls' sounds are. Now that I have a frame or reference I don't know how on earth I ever mistook Wobbles for a girl!

Yeah! I just took this one of her, it's the best I could get since she's still TERRIFIED of my tablet. So I had to corner her in her nighttime crate, mwa ha ha! She really has become quite gorgeous. She just began getting her adult feathers, so when that's said and done hopefully she'll be as stout and chubby-cheeked as Wobbles! Oh, and also...you do not see the clutter on the nightstand...there is no clutter....*jedi hand wave*

Haha, your so funny! Anyway back to bean! She is GEORGOUS, what would you call her, tri coloured? Black/blue pied? Anyway what she is she is beautiful!
