Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

I dunno why, but something about his markings makes him look like a little grumpy birb.

HNNNNNNG THE CUTE, CAN'T TAKE IT!

It's a yorkie...belly up. With a duckling. All arguments heretofore are forever made invalid.

May I join in? :D I have a butterscotch pair that I brought home last November, and I hatched one little duckling from their eggs this spring.

My pair. Malcolm is the drake and the duck is Trudi. :)

So, just a quick question out of curiosity, for those of you who raise up calls from hatch. About how soon could you tell the sex of your call ducklings by their voice? I would swear that Crash made a feminine quack this morning, but he only turned 5 weeks old yesterday and I assumed I had a few more weeks to wait. Was I hearing things?

He also has been making a lot of different noises starting within the past few days, like his loud PEEP-PEEP-PEEP when he's scared, or these little chirpy noises when he's happily nibbling on something, or the 'wibbly-wibbly-wibbly' sound when he's playing in his water dish. I have seen where people say that's a female thing, but then I've also read about male calls that have been tricky because of how noisy they are...

I call him 'him', by the way, only because I didn't want to call him 'it', so I really have no idea of whether Crash is a boy or a girl at this point.

Hehe, "wibbly wibbly wibbly". I love it. Trying to think back that far...Bean would make little honks as early as 4 weeks, and Wobbles kept his peeps until he hit 4 months before he went through a sudden plethora of voice changes. I think it was 4 weeks? She's only three months old, so you'd think I'd remember it!
