Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

Oh man.....call ducks are literally too cute. I think I need to reassess what kind of ducks I want lmbo....none of the others measure up anymore.

Hehe that's how it all begins. When I was researching what duck breed I wanted to get, I saw these guys and that was it for me. They've got great personalities too, I swear Wobbles acts just as sweet and silly as a Pekin, only in a tiny, fat lil' package!

Guess what?

:)

There are four eggs under my broody, but only one is developing. I'm trying not to get too excited because I know that a billion things could happen, but I'm hoping that the thing we all want to happen happens. :)

I had two call ducklings hatch today and I noticed that one of them has milky pupils. Is this something that I should be worried about?

I'm at work, but you can see it in the left eye in this picture. That's not from the camera, it looks like that in person no matter what angle you look at his eyes from.
it looks like an eye ulcer. I've had chick's hath that way and they were jist.blind but grew up fine. I actually still have them. You can try treating it with antibiotic eye ointment but I didn't have any luck here when they hatched that way. Seemed like it was an eye injury in the Shell that healed that way.

That's what I figured. He still stumbles around and he seems surprised when he hits the side of the brooder. He's loved regardless, I just wanted some input so I would be better prepared to make things easier for him if needed.

does he have a little buddy
Usually they Wil pair with another one so they have someone to lead them to food and water.
