I think so too. In fact, I'm in love with her already. I just hope she isn't terrified of me when we go on Tuesday. I thought about brining some treats to ease her. Not sure if the owner would like that though. I'm out to win her heart!

I agree with Amykins. You're buying her so the treats shouldn't be an issue with the owner. Little angel needs some snackies for the trip home. I am so excited for you. I'd be in love with her too. Just looking at her makes me wanna kiss and hold her.

No kidding. Having a sense of time hiccup is akin to your equilibrium being out of whack.

The lady selling them emailed me last night. She started getting inquiries about them. There are 11 total she's selling. I had told her there was one in specific I had my eye on the phone. She said she would try to save her for me. I hope so... It was a toss up on the drake. I'm thinking this little guy.

I've never really liked the word TRY... Especially now. I am so excited for tomorrow morning! At this time tomorrow I will have two little feathered kids in my car and heading home with them! I'm going to be on cuteness overload! I may have lots of questions. Lol

JLynn, I say this with kind intentions. Be cautious of sellers you don't know who tell you there's a lot of demand for their ducks. Work it the very same way you'd work buying a house. Have what you're willing to pay in mind, and don't let them think you're willing to exceed that because so many other people want their ducks. People will do this to increase the price, and there are a lot of sellers out there who do it, especially the smaller breeders. You want to be willing to walk away and tell her to call you if she changes her mind. I just don't want to see you be goaded into overpaying.

I say this as a seller. I do not do this to people. The price I set is the price of the duck/drake. I do not hold anything on a promise of someone coming over, and I do not bump the price up if someone else might want the bird. It is first-come, first-served, at the price I set. I sometimes negotiate down, but never up. If you get any feeling this breeder is doing that to you, walk away, please. I will send you some of mine at no cost to you other than shipping, which can be expensive on its own. I do not want to see you get messed over. I love BYC people and will do anything I can to help them. I'd rather see my Calls go to them and not make any money off them rather than see them go to a potentially bad home whose owner paid me for the birds.

Thank you so much Jade! Honestly, I am a little naive when it comes to people's intentions. This is great advice and I needed to hear it. Especially being we are driving 2 and 1/2 hours away to get them. I would be furious if we had to walk away because she wanted to change the price or already sold the ones I had wanted. I realize the first come first served way of doing business. When I talked to her she said she didn't have any one calling about them yet but then emailed me later to say they were. I think I will email her today just to make sure everything is as it should be.

And thank you for your offer and caring about the people on here! You are such a sweetheart. If this doesn't work out I would love to have some of your calls! I will keep you updated.
