Joyfulpromise is itching to start hatching and has her first Broody of 2014

Many assured PAchickenlover that the little blue kote applied chick looked like it would make it! Later update and it made it through the night!

Silly Corny Caleb asked if we wanted to see an Emu Brooder cam—Of course we do!

Happy Chooks is going to need to hatch in a bigger incubator. Mitch asked if Happy Chooks was going to be selling the chicks. Yes! Wellsummers and Barnevelders!

Book reminded us that lights can cause fires in coops that are not set up for them! Be careful if giving extra light in the winter.

Daphneysmamma has egg rolling around in the bator! They will hatch soon!

Jbher asked about candling flash lights. Sally Sunshine posted an awesome link!

Book asked about where to place the incubator—does it really need to be in a 70 degree stable room? Ronott1 said a quiet place with stable temps is best.

Noncentzter skipped 500 posts, enjoyed time with family, Grandson turned 4 so had a party, Sun was out yesterday so they had too much sun…I am very tired now! What a day that must have been….

We chatted about frogs in the afternoon. Gryeyes thought Gronk was a good name for a Frog. ChickenFox did too and misses having frogs around. LBKS found a frog in a toilette once…

PAchickenlover update: Son still has a swollen ankle and has not seen the Ortho Doc yet. PAchicken lover feels better and has chicks growing out. Critters are hatching soon (ok, ducklings). Welcomes the new hatchers!

Misschickenlitts (if they only stayed little, we would be in less trouble) needs to stop buying eggs to hatch! Busted bators and divorce papers sounds quite dire indeed!

Chicken Pickin eats stuffed cabbage when sick. I need to try that next time I get sick. Mom made it for her so maybe I can get my mom to make stuffed cabbage for me too!
